​ How do I receive my gift delivery? ​

Here is the step-by-step process: ​ 1. Get the Notification: You will receive a text message (SMS or iMessage) from Uber. This message will say “[Sender’s Name] sent you an Uber gift”.

1. Open Your Gift: Tap the link in the text message (e.g., uber.com/tracking-gift). This will open an “unwrapping” experience, showing you a message from the sender. ​

What if my gift includes alcohol? ​

If your gift contains alcohol, the notification SMS will state: “Please have a valid ID ready when it arrives”. ​

For Gift Senders

​ How do I schedule the delivery for my recipient? ​

To schedule the delivery, follow these steps: ​ 1. After checkout, you will then be able to choose the delivery time (either “Now” or “Schedule for later”) just as you would for your own order. 2. Your recipient will receive a “Follow my gift” link. This link allows them to track the delivery. ​

Important: Uber Account Needed ​

Gift scheduling is only available to those with an Uber account. If you do not have an Uber account, you will not be able to schedule the gift delivery.
