New York City Driver and Courier Benefits - Overview and FAQ
Due to city regulations limiting the number of couriers online, we have introduced the Planner tool to help you reserve times to deliver.
The Planner is an in-app feature that allows you to reserve hour-long time blocks and select a Zone in which to start your session. Reserving a time guarantees you the option to go online in your selected zone during that hour.
When demand is not high enough, you may not be able to go online in the 5 boroughs without a reservation. Reserving a time in advance ensures you can deliver during your preferred times.
When you can reserve times depends on your access level, which is based on your activity in the previous month (trips completed, acceptance rate, satisfaction rating, and use of reserved times).
The more trips you complete and the more consistently you work during your reserved times, the better your chances are of moving up to a higher access level.
When you book a time slot, you must also select a starting Zone. There are 9 Zones across New York City. You must navigate to your selected Zone to begin your delivery session. Once you are online, deliveries may take you to other zones, and you can continue to work across zone boundaries.
