When you complete a trip using the Driver app, Uber deducts a service fee from the price. This amount supports the platform by:

• Developing and maintaining app technology and features.
• Investing in marketing initiatives to increase rider demand.
• Facilitating payment processing for Drivers.

During periods of high demand, dynamic pricing may be in effect. The Uber service fee applies to the total trip earnings, including these adjustments.

Weekly service fee

Each week, we calculate your total Uber service fee. This amount is the sum of service fees from your individual trips, minus any additional driver payments not reflected on per-trip receipts.

The Uber service fee can vary by trip and by week. In some cases, the fee may be zero or negative. This typically occurs when:

• Total earnings from a trip or delivery recipient are equal to or less than your earned fare.
• A trip takes significantly longer than the initial estimate.
• Specific User or Driver promotions are active.
