What is the drop-off policy with alcohol deliveries?
Alcohol can only be delivered if the consumer is of legal age, not visibly intoxicated and is able to provide an acceptable ID for scanning. Local regulations may require that the Uber account holder is the one to receive the alcohol order. If the recipient of the order isn’t the account holder, tell them that you can’t deliver the alcohol.
Note: Please deliver the food if there’s any, and indicate in the app that you were unable to deliver the alcohol.
What are the acceptable forms of identification?
Note: Digital driver’s licences are currently only accepted in New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia.
I am having ID issues and cannot complete the delivery.
If you are unable to complete the delivery you can indicate the reason in your Driver app. Your app will route you back to the store to return the alcohol on the customer’s behalf. Your fee will include payment for the entire trip (including going back to the store).
