Priority Taxi

We are launching “Priority Taxi,” a service that allows you to be prioritized for driver matching by paying an additional fee.

• Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Sapporo, Sendai, Nagoya, Nagano, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, and Okinawa (As of June 24, 2026)

Priority Taxi Fees

• Priority Surcharge(Travel Business Handling Fees): 700 JPY

• In-app payments only (Cash payments are not accepted)

Notes: * Depending on your location and the taxi company, standard fees (e.g., App Dispatch Fee, Pickup Fee) will still apply as they do for regular rides. Depending on the distance traveled, the total fees may exceed the actual metered fare. Please be aware of this before booking.

FAQ

Is Priority Taxi available at all times?

• Yes, Priority Taxi is available anytime. It will appear as a “Priority Taxi” option in the vehicle selection menu within the app.

Will Priority Taxi get me to my destination faster?

• Priority Taxi prioritizes matching you with a driver. Please note that this does not guarantee a faster match than usual.

• Additionally, it does not shorten the actual travel time or guarantee a faster arrival at your destination.

How much does Priority Taxi cost?

• In addition to the standard metered fare, a Priority Surcharge (700 JPY) will be charged. Furthermore, other standard fees (App Dispatch Fee, Pickup Fee, etc.) may apply depending on the area and taxi company.

Can I pay for Priority Taxi with cash?

• No. Priority Taxi is only available for in-app payments. Cash payments are not supported for this service.
