Delayed Ride Guarantee

When you have a rider in the vehicle, delays happen — traffic, detours, route changes, or unpredictable conditions. That’s why we’re introducing a delayed ride guarantee. Now, your fare automatically increases when a ride takes longer than estimated in the offer card.

How it works

  • After you pick up the rider, if the ride takes at least 5 minutes longer than the original estimate, your fare will increase.
  • The delayed ride guarantee only applies to the time spent driving from pickup to drop-off.
  • The adjustment happens automatically; no action required. You’ll see the additional payment on your trip receipt.
  • All existing features like wait time fees and tips continue as before.

A few things to keep in mind:

Waiting for a rider at pickup

  • Waiting for a passenger at pickup is covered by our wait time fee. Learn more about how you’re compensated for wait time here.

Trip changes made by a rider

  • If a rider adds stops after pickup, those minutes don’t count toward the guarantee. Your fare will be recalculated based on time and distance rates. Learn more here.

What this means for drivers

Delayed ride guarantee adds a safety net, helping to ensure you’re protected when rides take longer than planned.
