In select cities, you have the option to share your ride details with your loved ones. You can manage who sees your trip and can turn sharing on and off at any time.
Setting up Follow My Ride
- Tap safety toolkit (shield icon)
- Select Set up next to Follow My Ride
- Add people from your contact list or another app and follow the prompts
Turn Follow my ride on and off by tapping the safety toolkit icon (shield icon) and selecting Start or Stop.
Managing Your Trusted Contacts
- Open the Uber app and tap Account on your menu
- Go to App settings
- Select Follow My Ride
- Here, you can add or remove contacts to share trips with
