Delivering large orders with Uber
When you accept a large order with over 20 items, you might receive a call from our live Support team. They’ll check if you’re ready to handle a larger delivery. Here’s what you need to know to ensure a smooth pickup and delivery for these orders:
Before you arrive
- Confirm the order: Expect a call from our team confirming your capacity to manage a big order.
At pickup
- Item count: Make sure the number of bags you’re picking up matches what’s shown in your app.
- Drinks included: Check that all beverages listed on the order are present.
- Secure packaging: Ensure that the packaging can safely hold the entire order.
During delivery
- Support available: Use the app to contact support for any issues such as:
- The merchant is closed.
- The order has been picked up by someone else or isn’t ready.
- The merchant reports they haven’t received the order.
Special situations
- If you can’t carry everything: Contact Uber Support right away if the order is too large for you to transport.
- Bicycles in NYC: If you’re on a bike or two-wheel vehicle, the merchant can request another delivery person through their Uber tablet to assist with the order.
