Users will receive communications from Uber asking users to link their accounts. You can opt out of linking your account, but by doing so, you will not be able to use Postmates. Users can expect to receive communications that will outline what you can expect and how to opt-out of account linking.

Yes, the merchants that were available to you previously will remain available to you on Postmates moving forward.
Many postmates merchants will move over to Uber Eats as well. Please check the Uber Eats app to check which merchants are available at this time. We are always onboarding new merchants.
Account bans are evaluated on case by case basis and will not always mean that a user is banned on both platforms.
Your account access may be restricted across both platforms in certain instances. However, in some situations this won’t be the case and so we always recommend attempting to log in to your account to confirm your access.
To log into your Postmates account, enter the phone number you used to sign up in the app or website. You will first be asked to link your account to an existing Uber account or provided steps to create a new Uber account.
After linking you can continue to use your Postmates phone number to log in.
You can’t change your phone number on Postmates once you link your Postmates and Uber account. You should continue to use your old Postmates phone number to log into your account.
Alternatively, you can use your email to log into your account by clicking on Can’t sign in link at login screen.
There may be an issue with your Uber Eats login information, like an incorrect password. Please reach out to the Uber Eats support team for help signing in.
Yes, when you link your accounts your payment methods and any gift cards or Postmates cash will transfer over. Your existing Postmates Cash value will be available in the Uber app as Uber Cash.
We continue to allow more and more Postmates customers to link their Postmates account with their Uber Eats account every day. Please keep an eye on your email and the Postmates app for more information.
We won’t be changing the restaurant offerings on the Postmates app. You can continue to use the Postmates app with little change.
All restaurants on Postmates are available on Uber Eats.
Once you link your Postmates and Uber accounts, much of your data will remain available in the Postmates app. For example you’ll still be able to review prior orders, and often have access to payment data you previously entered.

Promotions will be restricted to either Postmates or to Uber Eats depending on where the promo is eligible. You will receive communications that will make it clear whether or not a promo is valid on Uber Eats versus Postmates.
Cash and credits can be used towards orders placed on Postmates or Uber Eats. You can view your available balance in your Uber Eats wallet or in the Postmates wallet.
Postmates gift cards will transfer over to Uber Eats. You can use this gift card on orders placed on either Uber Eats or Postmates.
To request a refund for a Postmates order that you made prior to linking your Postmates account with Uber:
If you placed this order with Postmates Cash originally, you will be refunded in the form of Uber Cash; for all other payment methods, your refund will go to the payment method that you originally used for the transaction.
Our policies have recently changed, and we apologize for any inconvenience. You can request a refund for an order up to 48 hours from the time you placed it. Beyond 48 hours, you will no longer be eligible for a refund.

In the new app, we shall simply track savings for the past membership cycle. For example, if your monthly pass renews on Jan 1 and you are checking on the morning of Jan 1, you will not see any savings. This doesn’t mean you did not save on orders in the previous month. For a transitionary period, we will be unable to display yearly savings.
You can review the details of your payment methods by going to the “Wallet” and selecting a payment method. If you no longer wish to use a payment method for Uber or Postmates:
Postmates Cash is available in the Uber Wallet as Uber Cash, and your existing balance was converted to Uber Cash.
To view this balance and your recent Uber Cash transactions:

If the balance was not used towards a recent order, please reach out to Uber Eats customer support.
If you have an unredeemed Postmates gift card, you will be re-issued a new gift card code (via email) for the same amount, which can be redeemed directly on Uber. Your old Postmates gift card code will be deactivated.
If you are an existing subscriber, your Postmates Unlimited subscription remains mostly unchanged. You will now get a guaranteed 5% discount on every order.
If you have both Unlimited and Eats Pass, we will cancel your Eats Pass and retain your Unlimited membership. This is true for all cases except Amex cardholders who get a free Eats Pass. For them, we will cancel the Unlimited subscription.
It’s possible your payment authorization expired/expires at the end of the cycle. Please reauthorize the payment in the new app to keep enjoying your Unlimited benefits.
