On a predetermined date based on your region, Uber Eats will begin charging restaurants a small fee (plus tax) when a customer places an order with an offer attached.. Restaurants only pay when an offer actually drives an order, and the fee is applied just once per order, even if multiple offers are redeemed.
Introducing the Offer Redemption Fee is all about making your promotions more effective. By introducing a small, pay-per-order fee, we’re helping to shift the focus back to quality, and are continuing to invest in improving our Offers tools.
What that means for your business, is: * With fewer low-impact offers, customers can more easily find yours - and we can spotlight high-performing promotions more effectively. High quality Offers can drive up to 2x more orders than Offers that don’t deliver as much value to customers. * We’re continuing to invest in reporting and offer setup tools so you can fine-tune performance and targeting.
There have been many recent enhancements to offers, and more coming in 2025 and beyond. Restaurants can now benefit from releases like new offer types, greater visibility of offers, smarter targeting and self-serve tools. Read more about the improvements we’re making to offers in our recent blog post.
Delivery and pickup orders with offers redeemed will have the fee attached. What prevents me from increasing my prices to cover the value of the fee? Uber Eats encourages fair, transparent pricing for customers.
No. Only new offers created after the predetermined launch date will include the fee. Offers you scheduled before the launch, even if they go live later, will not incur the fee
Offer fees may vary by country due to a range of different factors. The fee you see is tailored to the economic realities and operational specifics of the particular market your store operates in.
