How far can I deliver? Is there a mileage limit?

Mileage limits are set at the market-level to optimize the experience for your customers and delivery drivers. For more information on mileage limits by market, please contact your Account Manager. To expedite response time, please provide the pickup addresses for which you’re requesting a mileage limit in your initial request.

Can I leave notes for the delivery driver?

Yes. While creating a delivery, you can include pickup and/or dropoff instructions for the delivery driver who accepts your delivery by one of the following methods:

Dashboard User: Select your location. A new screen will come up, and select the button “create a delivery”.

  1. Select the date and schedule hour of your delivery.
  2. Insert the pickup location.
  3. If you want to, you can add a note regarding the pickup location.
  4. Add the dropoff location.
  5. Add the internal options (department number, office, floor).
  6. Add a dropoff note.
  7. Write the name and surname of the client.
  8. Add the phone number of the client

Additional Information:

Pickup and dropoff notes are limited to a maximum of 280 characters. It is strongly recommended to keep notes short, kind, and simple to follow for the best all-around delivery experience!

Finally, please note that once the delivery is created,the delivery information can no longer be modified (includes pickup/dropoff address, pickup/dropoff instructions, customer phone number, order contents).

How do I require delivery confirmation at drop-off?

These requirements must be set at the moment a delivery is created. In the advance setting section, you can add which delivery confirmation you can use:

Delivery Driver currently supports the following requirement settings for drop-off:

  • ID Check: Delivery Driver must complete in-app scan or manual input of a valid government-issued ID in order to complete drop-off.

  • Photo: Delivery Driver must send an item´s photo to confirm the delivery, even the dropoff was not able to be completed; the photo is required before canceling the trip.

  • PIN code: The Merchant may add this function prior to pickup. In this way, confusion is avoided. Subsequently, a code will be sent to the User, who will have to enter it in his application to complete a delivery. You may choose between these 3 kinds of codes (Code-39, Code-1228 y QR Code).

  • Signature: Delivery Driver must capture the customer’s signature within their Driver App in order to complete drop-off.

  • Barcode: A barcode scanning is required at the pickup and delivery moment. The app allows 3 attempts to complete this verification. If this is not possible, the Delivery driver must notify that the scan failed and proceed with the regular process to complete the order.

Once you select the amount and time of verifications you want, create your delivery request with the “Order now” button.

How to export proof of delivery from the Uber Direct Dashboard?

As an Uber Direct Partner you can now export proof of delivery documentation directly from your dashboard.

Follow these instructions in order to download a proof of a delivery receipt:

  1. Log into the Direct Dashboard using your Uber account credentials.
  2. From the home tab, go to “Completed deliveries”.
  3. Locate the desired delivery in the list of ongoing and completed deliveries (using time range filter to help narrow down dates).
  4. Click the delivery in order to view the details and click “Download Proof of Delivery”.

Why do I have to provide quantity and size info on every delivery?

The more size and quantity information you can provide us in your delivery request, the better our algorithm can work to match you with the perfect delivery driver for your delivery. In practical terms, this keeps us from sending a cyclist to deliver a TV.

What is the composition of the delivery fee?

The Uber Direct delivery fee is composed by the pricing agreed in the contract.

Remember that due to the traffic and route, the estimated distance traveled can vary, impacting the final value.

How does tipping work?

100 % of all tips are always passed through automatically to the Delivery Driver.

You can add the tip once you create an order. Afterwards, a new menu will appear, in which you can choose the percentage of extra amount with the custom buttons of 10, 15 or 20 %, or, if you prefer, you can enter a custom amount.
