Points Eligibility and Exclusions
- For Uber Taxi trips, the eligible spending amount excludes consumption tax, Surcharge, Booking Fee Highway toll,and any other charges. The App fee is eligible for Rakuten points.
- For Uber Eats orders, the eligible spending amount excludes consumption tax, Delivery Fees, Service Fees, Delivery Option Fee, and any other charges.
- If you take advantage of a promotional discount, points will be awarded on the amount before the discount is applied.
- Uber One membership fees, cancellation fees, and late fees are not eligible for points. Rakuten Points will not be awarded for these charges.
- Points are only awarded for orders/rides within Japan.
When should I complete the linking?
- If you link your Uber account with Uber before the trip ends, or with Uber Eats before the delivery is completed, you will receive Rakuten Points.
How are the points applied?
- If you link your Rakuten ID to your Uber account, all available payment methods are eligible for earning Rakuten Points.
- Normally, Rakuten Points will be reflected in your Rakuten ID within 3 business days. However, there may be delays due to system adjustments, and in such cases, it may take up to 30 business days for the points to be reflected.
I want to check the status of my points
- The status of Rakuten Points cannot be checked through Uber. For more information, please visit the Rakuten PointClub.
Point earning rate
- You will earn 1 Rakuten point for every 200 yen(excluding tax).
Point expiry
I want to link another Rakuten ID to my account
- Please unlink your Rakuten ID from the Uber app and relink it with another Rakuten ID.
