Cancellation fees exist to improve the efficiency of the Uber app. These vary according to the city and the vehicle option you have chosen. Just before canceling the trip, the Uber app will notify you of the cancellation fee.
Cancellation fee may be charged in the following cases:
1. When you cancel the trip minutes after the Driver accepts it.
2. When the Driver cancels the trip after having waited for the User at the pick-up point.
The cancellation fee will not be charged if the Driver is delayed in the estimated time of arrival by several minutes.
