Cancelling or modifying a reservation

How do I cancel or modify a reservation?

You can modify or cancel your reservation through OpenTable Support, from your OpenTable confirmation email, or directly in the Uber Eats app.

Email: 1. Locate the confirmation email from OpenTable. The subject line of the email should read: “Your Reservation Confirmation for [Restaurant Name].” 2. Within this email, you’ll find buttons that allow you to either cancel or modify your reservation. Simply click the appropriate button. 3. After clicking the button, you will be guided through the process of changing your reservation details as needed.

Uber Eats App: 1. Go to the storefront where you made the reservation or “Your plans” to find your reservation. 2. Manage your reservation on the Reservation confirmation page to modify or cancel your reservation.

If you have any other questions about cancelling or modifying your reservation, please contact OpenTable Support. Please note that, if applicable, you may need to provide the Uber Eats email associated with your reservation to make any changes.

Important: If you scheduled a Ride along with your reservation, be sure to update or cancel it as well to avoid additional charges.

I need to cancel my ride reservation because I modified my restaurant reservation. Will it happen automatically?

No, there is no automatic modification or cancellation of a Reserved Ride when you modify your restaurant reservation. Uber will send you a push notification reminding you to cancel/modify your Ride reservation immediately after your table booking modification is confirmed.

Late cancellation, changes, no show charges

Why was I charged a cancellation fee for my reservation?

If your reservation requires pre-payment or a credit card hold, fees may be charged for late cancellations, late changes, no shows, etc, depending on the restaurant’s cancellation policy. These fees may be retained from your pre-payment or charged to your credit card on hold.

My reservation was cancelled by the restaurant. Will I be charged?

No, if your reservation is cancelled by the merchant or the cancellation is excused, there will be no cancellation charges. Any deductions made, if any, will be refunded.

If you were charged for a cancelled reservation, please contact the restaurant directly.
