UberEats Insurance Program

The Uber Delivery Partner Insurance Program is effective from the time a delivery partner accepts a delivery request until the delivery's conclusion or cancellation for Bicycle / Motorbike / Kei-car delivery partners in Japan.

In addition to the former coverage of third party bodily injury and third party property damage, injuries of the delivery partners are also compensated from October 2019. There is no need to opt-in and at no additional cost to delivery partners. (Please click on the link below for details such as applicable conditions)

In the event of an accident during delivery, first check the safety of all parties involved and contact emergency services if necessary. You can call local emergency services using our Safety Toolkit in the app by finding the shield icon on the bottom left of the map screen.
Next, please contact Uber support as soon as possible to let us know the details of the accident. You can write in though our in-app help, from 'Trip Issues and Adjustment' and enter details from 'I was in an accident'. Once we are informed of an accident, the incident-specialized team will review and take required actions accordingly.
