A/C is a requirement for registering a car on the Uber platform in any type of travel, and the Uber Community Guidelines establishes that the partner must carry out maintenance to ensure the working conditions of all items in the vehicle, which includes air conditioning.
In light of recent heat waves, attention to this point becomes even more important as a way of ensuring the health and well-being of both partners and their passengers. Therefore, it is expected that during trips the car’s air conditioning will be used, in all types of travel, to provide a comfortable temperature for both parties throughout the journey.
It is worth remembering that trips that do not meet users’ expectations, such as not using A/C, can directly impact the partner, as users can cancel the trip, report the situation to the platform or use the tool travel evaluation considering your dissatisfaction. We also highlight that low user ratings can lead to loss of access to special products with a minimum average rating, such as Uber Comfort, Black and VIP.
Finally, we highlight that charging any additional amount from passengers on behalf of Uber is prohibited. Charges made outside the platform represent a violation of the security rules of the Community Code and may lead to the account deactivation of the driver partner involved.
