Reset your Uber Eats Device

If your Uber-managed device is not working, you can start receiving orders again by following any of the options below. For a step-by-step walkthrough, watch the video here.

  • Option 1: Download the Uber Eats Order Manager app. If you have access to a Google account or can create one, we recommend this as the fastest setup method that works on both Uber-managed devices and personal Android devices.
  • Option 2: Restore your previous Uber-managed device setup. This option uses a QR code sent via email and requires a few additional steps.
  • Option 3: Access Uber Eats Order Manager on the web.

Option 1 | Download the Uber Eats Order Manager app

This guide walks you through setting up a new Android device, downloading the Uber Eats Order Manager app from the Google Play Store, and logging into your store account. For a video walkthrough of this option, watch here.

Step 1: Connect your device to Wi-Fi and sign in to the Google Play Store.

  • If you do not have a Google account, please create one to proceed.

Step 2: Download the Uber Eats Order Manager app from the Play Store

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
  2. Tap the search bar at the top of the screen and type Uber Eats Order Manager. (Note: If it does not appear as the first result, check for a sponsored listing or look for the app published by Uber Technologies, Inc.).
  3. Select the app and tap Install.

Step 3: Log in to the Uber Eats Order Manager app

  1. Open the Uber Eats Order Manager app.
  2. Enter the credentials associated with your store account. Having trouble locating your UEO credentials? See here.

You should now be able to accept orders.

Option 2 | Uber-managed Device Restore with QR Code

For a video walkthrough of this option, watch here.

Step 1: Reset your Uber-managed device

Note: the goal is to get the device to the Welcome screen to set it up as an Uber-managed device. If you are already at the Welcome / Start screen, you can skip to Step 2.

  • Find your Settings (if you cannot see the Gear icon, try searching for it)
  • Go to System > Reset Options. Alternatively, you can use the search bar to search for “Reset.”
  • Select Erase all data (factory reset)
  • Confirm by selecting Erase all data

Step 2: Open the QR scanner on your Uber-managed device

  • Do not press the start button. You can open the QR scanner by tapping the screen area just below the welcome banner 6–8 times.

Step 3: Scan the QR code

  • Pull up the QR code here on your phone or a secondary device.
  • Ensure that the secondary device screen is set to its maximum brightness.
  • Hold the QR code up to the Uber-managed device camera until it successfully scans.

Step 4: Set up your Uber-managed device

  1. Connect the device to your local wifi network if prompted.
  2. The device will begin setting up automatically. You should see a “Setting up work device…” screen.
  3. Follow any additional prompts that appear on your screen. Depending on the device model, you may see a few sequential setup screens.
  4. Once the initial setup finishes, the Ivanti Go app will launch automatically.
  5. In the Ivanti Go app, tap the menu icon in the top-left corner.
  6. From the menu, tap Kiosk and enable the required permissions. The device will now enter kiosk mode.
  7. Once kiosk setup is complete, confirm that the Uber Eats Order Manager app is downloaded and working. This process may take several minutes.
  8. Once the Uber Eats Order Manager app finishes downloading, you should be automatically signed in when you open it. If not, sign in using your credentials. If you still have trouble accessing the app, try closing and reopening it.

Note: If you’re having trouble connecting your receipt printer in the Uber Eats Order Manager app after setup, see our troubleshooting steps here.

If these steps do not restore your device, please proceed to Option 3.

Option 3 | Uber Eats Order Manager Web

For Restaurants

Instructions for logging in to the web platform:

  1. Open Uber Eats Orders on web
  2. Enter the credentials (email and password) associated with your restaurant account. Having trouble locating your UEO credentials? See here.
