Editing your Uber Eats menu

To edit your menu, open Menu Maker by following the steps below:

  1. Sign in to restaurant.uber.com/.
  2. Enter your username, password and 4-digit PIN.
  3. On the left sidebar, click "MENU" to open Menu Maker.

Note for POS users: If your POS is integrated with your Uber Eats menu, do not submit menu changes using Menu Maker. Change your menu directly through your POS system.

To add a menu item

  1. Open Menu Maker and click "OVERVIEW".
  2. Select "ADD ITEM" from the drop-down next to the search bar.
  3. Enter details in the "EDIT ITEM" side panel. (Make sure that you include a detailed description and photo).
  4. Click "SAVE".

To update a menu item

You can change an item's name, description and customisations as well as provide additional size options.

  1. Open Menu Maker and click "OVERVIEW".
  2. Search for or select the item to open the "EDIT ITEM" side panel.
  3. To update basic details, click the "ABOUT" tab.
  4. To update the item type, click the drop-down below "PRODUCT TYPE".
  5. If additional fields are required, they will appear below.
  6. To update other details, such as dietary attributes, click the "DETAILS" tab.
  7. Click "SAVE".

To delete a menu item

Keep in mind that deleting an item will delete it from all menus completely.

  1. Open Menu Maker and click "OVERVIEW".
  2. Search for or select the item to open the "EDIT ITEM" side panel.
  3. Click the three vertical dots in the upper right corner next to the "SAVE" button.
  4. Click "DELETE".

To add a category

  1. Open Menu Maker and click "OVERVIEW".
  2. Click the "ADD" drop-down next to the search bar.
  3. Select "ADD CATEGORY".
  4. Enter details and click "SAVE".

To update a category

  1. Open Menu Maker and click "OVERVIEW".
  2. Click the category you want to update.
  3. Edit details in the "EDIT CATEGORY" side panel.
  4. Click "SAVE".

Note: You can also update a category when you edit a menu item. Follow the steps under "TO UPDATE A MENU ITEM" and navigate to the "BASIC" tab to update the category from there.

To update a customisation group

Customisation groups help customers customise their meals. For example, if you want to let customers customise a type of pasta sauce, add a customisation group called "Choice of sauce".

  1. Open Menu Maker and click "CUSTOMISATION GROUPS" at the top.
  2. Click or add the customisation group you want to update.
  3. Edit details in the "EDIT CUSTOMISATION" group side panel:
    • Add or delete options
    • Edit option prices
    • Edit customisation group rules

Note: You can also update a customisation group when you edit a menu item. From the "Overview" page, find the menu item with your desired customisation group. Click the customisation group name below the item, then edit any details in the "Edit customisation group" side panel.

To pause your menu

In the "Overview" tab, there is a toggle that informs you whether or not your selected menu is live or paused. Click the "Edit" button to switch the menu to either live or paused.
