Wearing a bike helmet is key to staying safe. It is recommended to wear one whenever you ride.
Getting your helmet right
Before you head out:
- Position your helmet straight across your head, a couple of fingers above your eyebrows
- Fasten the chin strap so it fits
- Check that your helmet is safety certified for your country
Sharing your helmet selfie
To promote safety, we ask drivers and couriers to share a helmet-wearing selfie.
Taking a good selfie
When prompted:
- Wear your helmet and keep it in the picture
- Face the camera
- Hold the camera at eye-level, fitting your face within the white lines
- Turn on the lights in a dark room
- Stay still to prevent blurring
Selfie verification issues
- Take and submit a new selfie anytime
- Access to the app for trips or deliveries is granted once your helmet is verified
- If issues arise, reach out to support. This won’t negatively impact your account.
Your photo privacy
Protecting your privacy is our priority. Rest assured, we:
- Check your photo to ensure compliance with our safety standards, such as confirming helmet use. This is done using software that identifies the helmet but does not recognize your face. No biometric data is collected
- Store your selfies for verification only
- Never share your photos without permission, unless required by law
