Uber driver app navigation features

The driver app comes with handy GPS features to assist you on the road:

• Automatic navigation
• Route overview
• Night mode
• Lane guidance
• Traffic updates

Note: Some features may not be available in all cities or on all devices. Check your app for availability.

Automatic navigation

Your app will start providing turn-by-turn directions as soon as your trip begins.

To disable automatic navigation: 1. Tap the menu (three lines) on the top left. 2. Go to Account and then App settings. 3. Tap on Navigation. Select Auto-Navigate. 4. Turn off the Automatic navigation switch.

Route overview

Get a quick glance at your upcoming trip before you set off. This may not be accessible on some devices.

Night mode

For comfortable nighttime driving, your app display switches to darker colors automatically.

To adjust Night mode settings: 1. Tap the menu (three lines) on the top left. 2. Go to Account and then App settings. 3. Tap on Navigation. Select Night mode. 4. Choose Always off, Always on, or Automatic based on your preference.

Switching between navigation services

To switch between navigation systems, please follow these steps: 1. Tap the menu (three lines) on the top left. 2. Go to Account and then App settings. 3. Tap on Navigation. 4. Select your preferred navigation app.

Lane guidance

Receive alerts on which lane to be in for your upcoming turns.

Traffic updates

Stay informed about the traffic conditions on your route: * Yellow indicates moderate traffic. * Red signals heavy traffic.
