Large orders may require additional planning and handling, but they can also offer higher earnings and tips. Tips are updated approximately one hour after delivery.

Before you arrive

After accepting a large order, Uber Support may contact you to confirm that you’re able to complete the delivery.

Before heading to the merchant:

  • Be prepared to confirm you can safely transport the order.
  • Review any delivery instructions provided in the app.

Picking up a large order

Before leaving the merchant, make sure to:

  • Verify that the number of bags matches what’s shown in the app.
  • Check that all drinks and other listed items are included.
  • Ensure the packaging is secure and can safely hold the entire order.

If you encounter an issues at pickup

Please contact Uber Support through the app.

Examples include:

  • The merchant is closed.
  • The order has already been picked up.
  • The order isn’t ready.
  • The merchant says they didn’t receive the order request.

Transporting a large order

Large orders may require extra preparation.

To help make deliveries easier:

  • Consider using a catering bag to help keep food secure and at the appropriate temperature. Using a catering bag is optional.
  • Ask the merchant or building staff whether moving carts or other equipment are available to help transport the order.
  • Plan ahead for parking and navigating large office buildings or event venues.

Completing the delivery
