Plus Card FAQ

If you opt to deliver orders that involve shopping and paying for customers, you’re eligible for a Plus Card. You’ll receive the Plus Card through the mail or be able to pick it up at a local Greenlight Hub (availability varies).

Using your Plus Card

The Plus Card is used to buy items a customer requests via the Shop and Pay delivery option. It functions without a PIN and is pre-authorized for the order’s expected total.

Activate your Plus Card

  1. Open the Uber Driver app
  2. Tap Account
  3. Tap Plus Card
  4. Follow the in-app prompts to finish activating the card.

Once activated, make sure to also do the following before using your Plus Card:

  1. Update your Driver app to the latest version.
  2. Agree to any additional Shop & Pay terms if prompted.

If Your Plus Card Is Declined

Reasons your card might be declined include:

  • Item purchases that aren’t pre-approved by Uber.
  • order total exceeds the pre-authorized amount.

What to do if it’s declined:

  • Check if you’re at the correct store.
  • Review your order for any substitutions that might cost more and adjust as necessary. This may involve contacting the customer.
  • Try swiping your card again.
  • If issues persist, reach out to Uber Support for further assistance or order cancellation.

Lost or stolen Plus Card

If you have lost our Plus Card or think it’s been immediately report it in the app or at a Greenlight Hub. You can then request a new Plus Card via Uber Support. Once you have the new card, update your card details in the Account > Plus Card section of the app.
