What is Trip Radar?

Trip Radar is a feature in the Driver App, available in some cities, that allows Delivery People to browse multiple offers at a time and request a trip that suits their preferences.

Trip Radar offers are sent to a handful of Delivery People at the same time and assigned to the most optimal Delivery Person. If you click match on a Trip Radar offer, you will be notified whether or not you were matched with the trip.

You will continue to receive individual trip offers like you always have, they will be labelled as ‘Exclusive’. When you receive and accept an Exclusive offer, the trip is automatically assigned to you to complete.

Trip Radar only changes the way that some trips are offered and displayed, it doesn’t impact the way your earnings are calculated.

How it works:

  1. Keep an eye out for Trip Radar which will pop up when trips are available and when you’re not completing a delivery.
  2. Browse through Trip Radar offers. Similar to your exclusive offers these can be both solo and batched deliveries.
  3. If you want to request one of the trips on offer, click the ‘Match’ button. You can request multiple Trip Radar offers at once.
  4. Trip Radar will match each trip with one Delivery Person - this is based on a number of factors such as proximity to the merchant and estimated delivery times. Among those who have clicked Match, assignment is not based on who clicked match earliest - so don’t worry about being the first to request.
  5. If you’ve been matched with the trip you should complete the delivery as usual - you will be notified if you are not matched. Trip Radar offers will become unavailable when they have been matched with another Delivery Person. Sometimes these offers may disappear faster than Exclusive offers. Typically, this happens when the Trip Radar offer you have received is sent as an Exclusive offer to another Delivery Person who then accepts it.

Similar to exclusive offers, you can decline a Trip Radar offer by clicking the X button in the top right hand corner.

Browsing through Trip Radar can only be done when moving at a slow speed or when stationary and is only available when you’re not already completing a trip. When you’re on the move, Trip Radar offers will show as a single request.
