Understanding fare adjustments
Sometimes we need to revise the fare for a trip you’ve completed. If a rider contacts us with a concern about their trip, we may adjust the fare accordingly. Here are common reasons for these adjustments:
- The rider claims they did not take the trip.
- You did not accept the rider’s destination.
- The trip had a delayed start or finish.
- The chosen route was less than optimal.
- Technical problems occurred during the trip.
- Asking for extra cash during the trip.
- Asking for the rider to pay tolls directly to you.
Help with fare issues
If you’re facing any issues with the fare for a trip, let us help you sort it out. Just follow these steps:
- Open the Uber app.
- Tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top left corner.
- Select “Help”.
- Tap on “Help with a trip”.
- Choose the specific trip.
- Identify the issue you’re experiencing.
- Click on “Submit” to send us your concern.
