When you order food on Uber Eats, the fees you pay help cover delivery costs.
Orders delivered with Uber Eats include these types of fees:
- Delivery fees. The delivery fee varies based on factors like your location, the merchant you’re ordering from, the availability of delivery people, and whether or not you are an Uber One member. If the restaurant chooses to deliver its food with its own delivery staff, the restaurant decides on the delivery fees. The delivery fee is displayed at the top of the store’s menu so you'll always know how much you pay before placing your order.
- Service Fee. Information about the applicable Service Fee is available in the app and is displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.
- Small order fee. This is applied to Convenience, Grocery, Alcohol, and other retail orders. This fee is applicable to Convenience orders with a subtotal (before fees) under $15, and to Grocery, Alcohol, and other retail orders with a subtotal (before fees) under $10.
These fees work together to help cover delivery costs and keep couriers on the road so your food can arrive quickly and reliably.
