Payer can’t pay the full amount

• Visit the page “I did not receive the correct amount of cash” for guidance.

Identifying the payer

When the sender is paying:

• Look for “Collect cash” on your app instead of “Start delivery”.
• Tap “Continue” after seeing the amount that needs to be collected.
• Enter the amount received. If it’s correct, select the amount shown to continue.
• Press “Continue” to begin the trip.

When the receiver is paying:

• Start the trip as usual
• At the destination, collect payment from the receiver and input the amount in the App.
• Ensure you have change. If not enough, you can add it to the requester’s Uber Cash.
• If the receiver lacks an Uber account, collect the exact amount. The requester is responsible for shortfalls, which will be charged to their card.

I don’t have enough change

• Add the owed change to the requester’s Uber Cash balance via “Refund rider”.
• Aim to carry sufficient change for transactions.
