How do I modify or cancel my reservation?

You can modify or cancel your reservation through the Uber app up to 48 hours before your scheduled pickup time. Changes are subject to vehicle availability and pricing at the time of the update.

Please note: Android users are currently unable to modify reservations directly in the app. If you’re using Android and need to make changes, you’ll need to cancel your existing reservation and book a new one with your preferred details.

To modify your reservation (iOS)

1. Open the Uber app and select Rental Cars.
2. Select Your Reservations.
3. Choose the reservation you’d like to modify and tap Manage Reservation.
4. Select Edit to update your pickup date, time, or location (where available).
5. Review and confirm your changes.

To cancel your reservation

1. Open the Uber app and select Rental Cars.
2. Select Your Reservations.
3. Choose the reservation you’d like to cancel and tap Manage Reservation.
4. Select Cancel Reservation and follow the on-screen prompts.

Once your reservation has been cancelled, you’re free to make a new booking if needed.

Because rentals in Australia and New Zealand are paid directly to the rental supplier at the counter, you won’t be charged by Uber for the rental when you book. However, cancellation policies are set by the rental supplier, and a cancellation fee may apply, particularly if you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled pickup time. We recommend reviewing the supplier’s Terms and Conditions before booking for the applicable cancellation policy, fees, and any other conditions that may apply.

You may also contact your vehicle supplier to make reservation modifications within 48 hours of your current rental pickup time.
