现金行程的运作方式

Some Users have the option to pay for trips in cash. On cash trips, you receive payment of the fare at the end of the trip and must provide exact change.

If the fare is to be paid in cash, you will see the “Receive Cash” option in the app when you arrive at the User’s destination and complete the trip. Please note that if the payment is in cash, you will not be notified of this until after you have accepted the travel request.

When you arrive for a User, you can confirm if they will pay the trip fare in cash.

How payments work

You will be able to keep the cash you receive from Users, and Uber will deduct the Service Fee from your total weekly earnings. All tolls charged to you over the course of the User’s route will be added to the total cash fare that is confirmed in the app at the end of the trip.

Any promotion you enter will be paid electronically, as usual, at the end of the week.

In case the User does not have the exact amount to pay you and you do not have enough to return the remaining amount, you can use the “I RECEIVED X” option. In this you will mark the total that you received from the User and in future trips with electronic payment it will be compensated in the account of both.

There are several situations where the fare you receive will not exactly match your trip, including the following:

  1. If a User applied a promotion or discount to a trip, the fare you will receive will reflect the User’s discount. You will receive the rest of the fee with your next payment.

  2. If a User has an outstanding balance from a previous trip, an additional amount will be charged on their next trip. This means that you may receive a higher fare than is due for your trip. The extra amount will be deducted from your next payment, so you’ll only be paid for the trip you took.

If you pay any tolls during a trip in cash, that amount will be charged to the User and included in the total fare indicated in the application.

Sometimes you may receive more trips with cash than with an electronic payment method. To learn about the debts that can be generated, visit:

The User canceled the trip

If the User cancels the trip and a cancellation fee is applied, the charge is made to the User’s Uber account. As a Driver, you will see the payment of cancellation fees in your weekly statement.

What happens if a User tries to pay cash for a non-cash trip?

You are not required to accept cash on these types of trips. We recommend that you politely explain to the User that Uber’s policy prohibits cash payment for non-cash rides.

When the User requests a trip without cash payment, the fare is automatically deducted from the preferred payment method associated with his account.

Problems with the cash fare

If you have a problem paying cash for a fare, select “HELP” from the app menu and choose your ride to get started.
