Uber Flash Central Delivery Partners are experienced UberX partners, who have passed background reviews and security filters to ensure the item reaches the recipient safely. However, in the event that the item gets lost during the delivery process, we cannot cover for the item shipped and you will need to contact the Delivery Partner for more information, taking into account the delivery service is provided by the Delivery Partner, not by Uber.
Delivery Partners must contact the User who requested the delivery through the chat, in order to inform him of the situation and receive the instructions to complete the delivery. Remember that you will have to wait up to 10 minutes to see if the recipient of the product appears.
If you can communicate with the requester, it is important that you do not finish the trip until you have delivered the item, in this way, in case you have to return the item, the application will automatically calculate the trip fare.
If after 10 minutes waiting, you are not able to communicate with the requester, you can cancel the delivery from your application, selecting the cancellation reason that best suits the situation. It is important that you let us know that you have the item with you so we can coordinate the return with the requester in a later time.
Before canceling a delivery, always make sure to comply with the 10 minute wait time at the delivery point and that you have tried to contact the requester. With this, you will be eligible for a return fee when returning the item.
Communication will be through chat with the user that requested the delivery and with phone with the receiver. That is why advance coordination of the delivery is important.
Receiver will receive an SMS with a tracking link of the delivery but, It is the responsibility of the user who made the request to coordinate and communicate the delivery details with the person who will receive the item.
