Managing Member Profiles

What are members?

Members are riders with saved profiles in Uber Health’s dashboard.

Note: Riders do not have to be members of any specific Uber program or have the Uber app to use Uber Health.

Who can add a member?

Administrators can add new members individually or in bulk. Admins can also request to enable coordinators to add new members by contacting support at support@health.uber.com.

How can I add members?

To create a member individually:

  1. Sign in to the Uber Health dashboard
  2. Go to the Members section
  3. Select Add members

A member ID is required to create a member, but it doesn’t have to be a member ID that is associated with a plan. It can be any identifier such as MRN, plan member ID, or something the organization uses to track the member. This field is what enables reporting to see member utilization.

To create members in bulk using a CSV:

  1. Sign in to the Uber Health dashboard
  2. Go to the Members section
  3. Select Import CSV files and download the CSV template
  4. Enter member details into the CSV file
  5. Upload the CSV file

SFTP requires configuration to use, see Member Management via SFTP and Trip Setup for more information.

Please note: only name, phone number, member ID, and plan eligibility information can be added by SFTP or through CSV uploads. Trip preferences will need to be created manually in the dashboard.

How do I edit member information?

Users can edit:

  • General information
  • Eligibility information
  • Preferences

To manually update, select the pencil edit button on the right hand side of the member profile. Name, phone number, Member ID and plan IDs can information can also be updated in bulk via CSV on the dashboard or through SFTP with matching member IDs.

Is there a limit to how many member profiles I can create on the account?

Currently, there’s no cap on the number of member profiles allowed on your managed business account. You can create and save as many member profiles as you need.

What information does a member profile have?

Required information

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Member ID

Optional fields:

  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Plan IDs
  • Associated plan start/end dates

Trip preferences:

  • Saved locations
  • Trusted contacts
    • Contacts receive ride tracking information via text message when the share trip option is selected
  • Flexible first
    • Riders can request a trip when they want if turned on
  • Preferred vehicle types
