Please set expectations with your rider that you’re requesting a ride for them with Uber. Make sure they know that they:
- Will receive a text message or phone call from Uber with information about their ride or instructions on how to request one.
- Don’t need to give the driver directions, as the pickup and dropoff address has already been set and is provided to the driver in their app. Drivers also have the option to use Uber’s turn-by-turn GPS directions.
