The TLC requires license applicants to complete a 24-hour FHV course which takes place over a period of three days for eight hours each day.
There is an exam at the end of the course that needs to be passed with a score of 70 or above. The exa can be taken as many times as needed to pass within 90 days after submitting your TLC application.
The 24-hour FHV course is not offered at any of Uber’s offices, and Uber does not cover the cost of the course or the exam.
The course is offered primarily in English and Spanish, but some schools do offer it in Bengali, Urdu, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, and American Sign Language.
