Changing your earning options

This article is for drivers or delivery people who would like to:

• Change vehicle request types
• Opt in to trip or delivery requests
• Switch fully from trip to delivery requests, or vice versa

Note: Due to high driver and courier volume in New York City, those wishing to accept trip requests there will be put on a waitlist.

If you change your earning options:

• You may lose your loyalty tier status.
• Your existing documents will need to be reprocessed and you may need to upload new documents.
• You may need to complete a new background check.
• Expect a wait of 3-5 business days while we process your documents before you can go back online.

For markets where Comfort, Priority, XL or Uber Black are available (excluding NYC), UberX Priority is now a separate option to UberX in your preference filters.

*You can turn it on or off anytime – this means you can receive UberX Priority requests without opting into UberX. You can do this in the Preferences section of your Driver app.*
