If you did sign up to drive with Uber but didn’t submit a TLC license application before the deadline, your account has been placed on a waiting list.
Applications that have been denied by the TLC will not be considered. The TLC requires all license applicants to complete a defensive driving course at a TLC-approved driving school. The course typically costs around $40 and runs for about six hours.
If you’ve taken defensive driving at a New York State course provider within the last three years, and have your proof of completion certificate, you do not need to take defensive driving again.
