I'm not getting trip or delivery requests

If you find yourself online but getting few or no trip requests, here’s what might be happening:

  • Out of service area: Make sure you’re in your approved service area. Confirm your location by visiting our service area page for your city.

  • Public holidays: Demand can be unpredictable on public holidays, with potential decreases in requests.

  • Time of day: Demand varies throughout the day. Usually, requests are less frequent between:

  • 12:00 AM to 11:00 AM

  • 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Tips for increasing trip requests:

  • Busiest Times: Consider going online during peak hours to catch more requests:

  • Lunch: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

  • Dinner: 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM

  • Hotspots: Look for busy areas, such as the city center and nearby neighborhoods. Check out the links below for insights on high-demand locations:

  • Days of the week: Later in the week, especially towards the weekend, often sees higher demand.

Uber Reserve Trips

Eligibility and Trip Acceptance

To be eligible for Reserve trips, you must:

  • Have completed a minimum of 15 lifetime trips.
  • Meet all the eligibility criteria for the on-demand trip type (e.g., a Premier Reserve Driver Partner must meet all the criteria for Premier).

Trip Acceptance Rate

Upfront Reservation offers: Those sent up to 7 days in advance via Opportunities can be declined without any impact on your Trip Acceptance Rate (TAR).

On-demand Reserve Requests: When you are online, you may receive on-demand requests for Reserve trips (similar to UberX). The “Reservation” on the offer card indicates it is a Reserve request. If you decline these on-demand Reserve requests, it will impact your TAR just like declining any other on-demand trip.

Fulfilment Policy and Penalties

Fulfilment Policy is designed to ensure reliable completion of accepted Reserve trips. It applies if you:

  1. Cancel too close to the pickup time.
  2. Fail to go online at the required time for an advance-accepted trip.
  • Failing to meet these requirements 3 times within a 14-day period will result in the loss of your ability to receive and accept future Reserve trips.

Automatic Cancellations

You will receive a notification when it is time to go online for an advance-accepted Reserve trip.

A Reserve trip may be automatically cancelled and reassigned to another driver if:

  • You are estimated to be late for the pickup. You may receive up to two notifications if you show no signs of progress and are projected to be 5 minutes or more late. If you are still estimated to be late 5 minutes after the second notification, the trip may be reassigned.
  • Your documents (e.g., driver’s license, insurance) expire, disabling your account prior to the reserved trip.
