Uber Flash

Uber Flash is a new alternative within the Uber App where Users can request a delivery to send or receive an item.

You will be in charge of collecting and delivering the item by using your vehicle.

Lessor Partners will pick up and deliver the items, using their vehicles registered in the Uber app.

Here is some important information you should know about Uber Flash:

  • Uber Flash is exclusively for item delivery and can’t replace an UberX lease. If an User requests by mistake and doesn’t wish to use it for this purpose, please ask him to cancel.

  • If the delivery PIN has been activated for the delivery, you will be able to see it in your application. You will need to request this PIN from the receiver to help ensure that the item is delivered to the correct person.

  • At the end of the lease, if the receiving person does not correctly provide the PIN, you can deny the delivery of the item. For cases like this, we suggest that you request delivery authorization, via chat, from the person who requested the delivery. Another alternative is to end the lease, keep the item and contact support, who will then coordinate a return lease to deliver the item with an additional cost. Once the timer is activated, wait 8 to 10 minutes at the destination.

  • If after 8- 10 minutes of waiting, you are not able to communicate with the requester, you can cancel the delivery from the Uber App for Lessor Partners, selecting the cancellation reason that best suits the situation. It is important that you let us know that you have the item with you so we can coordinate the return with the requester at a later time.
