On-site Tasks onboarding FAQs

What is an On-site Task?

On-site Tasks include destination-based trips that involve going to a physical location(s) to collect specific information such as business details, store hours, and layouts. These requests require collecting written information and/or taking requested photos.

These trip requests are available to a select group of drivers and couriers.

Before accepting an On-site Task, you’ll see the following details:

  • Pay
  • Distance
  • Estimated Time

The app will provide step-by-step instructions on what information you need to collect. Most steps can be completed in any order so that you can move at your own pace.

On-site Tasks will occasionally appear alongside other trip requests. Once you have signed up to receive On-site Tasks, you can turn these trips On or Off anytime in Preferences.

Declining On-site Tasks won’t count against you.

What types of On-site tasks exist?

On-site tasks vary, according to the request. During an On-site task, you may be asked to collect information such as:

  • Confirming business details
  • Verifying store hours
  • Documenting store layouts
  • Taking specific photos requested in the task

Each On-site task can be different and may have different requirements. New On-site tasks may also be introduced over time.

The app will show you the required steps for each specific task.

After accepting an On-site task, follow the steps in the app then submit the required information.

What are the requirements to accept On-site Tasks?

To participate in On-site Tasks, you need:

  • Access to the Uber Driver app
  • Ability to travel to required locations to complete steps shown in the app

If you don’t see On-site Tasks on your account, they may not be available in your region.

Make sure your app is updated to the latest version as it will have the most up-to-date information.
