What is a Plus Card and How Does it Work?

The Plus Card is a payment card used by Delivery Partners to purchase items for Uber’s “Shop and Deliver” feature. Here’s how it functions:

  • Use the Plus Card to buy items requested by Clients.
  • If the Plus Card doesn’t work, retry the payment and contact the Uber Support Team for help. If required, cancel the order or pay with your own funds (credit/debit card or cash).
  • Get reimbursed within 72 hours for any personal funds used. Ensure you provide a clear, valid receipt through the App during checkout.

How do I get the Plus Card

To start receiving “Shop and Deliver” orders with your Plus Card:

  1. Accept the invitation you received or go to “Account > Plus Card” in your App.
  2. Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  3. Pick up your card at an Uber Activation Center or have it mailed to you. Confirm your mailing details if you choose delivery.
  4. Activate your Plus Card via “Account > Plus Card” in the App.

Note: Options to pick up or have the card mailed may vary by city. Follow your app’s instructions.

Note: The card is only available to Delivery Partners who received an invitation and completed their registration for this type of delivery.

How can I activate my Plus Card?

After you get your Plus Card, follow these steps in the Uber Driver app to activate it:

  1. Go to “Account > Plus Card”.
  2. Select “Activate card”.
  3. Enter the 16 digits in the front/rear of the Plus Card.
  4. Confirm the information and select “Continue”.
  5. Only if required, create a 4-digit PIN and confirm it.

Done, your Plus Card is now activated. You can start receiving “Shop and Deliver” orders.

Note: If you want to use your own funds after receiving an invitation to this modality, you will need to activate your Plus Card to start receiving “Shop and Deliver” orders. Once you have accepted one, choose to pay with your means in the app during the checkout phase of the purchase.
