Tracking acceptance and cancellation rates

Acceptance rates:

  • Your acceptance rate is calculated by taking the trips you’ve accepted from the last 200 trips and dividing them by the total number of trips you’ve been offered over the same time period
  • If you received fewer than 200 requests, your acceptance rate is calculated based on the total requests you’ve received
  • Consistently accepting and completing trip requests helps to ensure that the Uber app runs smoothly

Cancellation rates:

  • Your cancellation rate is the total number of trip requests that you accept and then cancel divided by the total number of trips you accept
  • The number you see for both your acceptance and cancellation rates in the Driver app will be calculated from the last 200 trips
  • If you received fewer than 200 requests, both your acceptance and cancellation rate will be calculated based on the total requests you’ve received

We know there can be circumstances that prevent you from completing every trip and that’s ok, but maintaining a high acceptance rate prevents deterioration in reliability, poor rider experiences, and negative impact on other drivers.

When a rider cancels a trip, it does not affect your acceptance rate or your cancellation rate. You can view your acceptance rate and cancellation rate in the app by following the steps below:

  1. Tap your Profile Photo in the upper right hand corner of the Driver App
  2. Next, locate your Profile Photo near the top of the app and tap it again
  3. You’ll now see your Driver Rating, Acceptance rate, and Cancellation rate, in that order
  4. Tap the number in the middle to view a detailed breakdown of your Acceptance Rate
  5. Alternatively, you can tap the number on the far right to view a detailed breakdown of your cancellation rate”
