UberXL offers affordable rides for larger groups of riders. The drivers go through a screening process and use personal vehicles. Drivers must have vehicle insurance to qualify.
Vehicles on UberXL must meet the following requirements:
- Vehicles must be less than 15 model years old (maybe newer depending on local regulation).
- Use an eligible 4-door vehicle.
- Have at least one year of licensed driving experience in the United States (3 years if you are under 25 years old).
- Have a valid US driver’s license.
- Seats and seatbelts for a driver and 6 passengers.
- Meet the minimum age to drive in your city.
- No cosmetic damage or missing pieces.
- No salvage or rental vehicles.
- No commercial branding or taxi color paint jobs.
- No large passenger vans or commercial trucks.
Uber reserves the right to limit participation in the UberXL vehicle class.
