Drivers using the Driver app are charged the Uber fee as a percentage of each trip fare. If surge pricing applies to a trip, the Uber fee percentage is also deducted from the surge amount.

The weekly service fee, for a particular weekly period, is the total amount of service fees a driver paid Uber minus any other payments to that driver that were not included on the per-trip receipt, including but not limited to weekly promotions, cleaning fee payments, and lost item fee payments.
Because the service fee varies trip-to-trip and week-to-week, sometimes the service fee is zero or negative, if the rider/delivery recipient payment is equal to or less than driver/courier earnings, such as when a trip takes much longer than expected or due to rider/driver promotions.
