Managing Team Access in Uber Ads Manager

Your ads power your growth. The team behind them should be set up to move just as fast.

That’s why we’ve updated Uber Ads Manager with a smarter, role-based permissions system, designed to put you in control, protect what matters most, and empower your team to execute campaigns with confidence.

Whether you manage your ads yourself, collaborate with a full marketing team, or partner with an agency, our role-based access system keeps your account protected, while giving every teammate exactly the access they need.

Available Roles

Assign every teammate the right level of access with three purpose-built roles.

Admin

Best for: Business owners, marketing managers, and agency leads.

What they can do:
* Full control over account.
* Create, edit, and manage campaigns. * Manage store locations. * Invite and remove users.

Important: Only Admins can view billing settings, keeping sensitive data secure.

Operator

Best for: Media buyers, campaign managers, and marketing teams.

What they can do:
* Create, edit, and manage campaigns.
* Upload assets into the Creative Hub.
* Download performance reports.

Important: Operators do not have access to billing settings and cannot add or remove other users.

Analyst

Best for: Data analysts, brand managers, or stakeholders needing visibility to performance.

What they can do:
* View performance dashboards. * Export reports.
* View the Creative Hub.

Important: Analysts cannot create or edit campaigns, upload creative assets, or view billing details.

Frequently Asked Questions

I already had access to Ads Manager before the update. Did my role change?

No, you’re all set. Existing users were automatically migrated to Admin, so you keep the full access you’ve always had.

Can someone have different roles across ad accounts?

Yes, permissions are specific to each account. You can be an Admin on one account and an Analyst on another.

How can I update roles on my account(s)?

It’s simple:

  1. Go to Account in Ads Manager.
  2. Select Users.
  3. Choose a user’s email address to adjust their permissions.

Important: Only Admins can update roles and permissions for other users.

If I have multiple ad accounts, how do I confirm which account I’m in?

Use the ad account selector dropdown. You’ll only see accounts you’re authorized to access. When you switch between accounts, your permissions along with campaigns and reports will automatically update to match that account.

What if I try to access a feature outside of my role?

If a feature isn’t part of your permissions, it simply won’t appear. For example, if you are an Analyst, you will not see an option “Create campaign”.
