Not accepting orders on tablet

If your tablet is not accepting orders, the most likely cause is that you are logged on at a time that is not within your typical operating hours with Uber Eats.

  1. First double check you are logged in to your tablet within your restaurant’s operating hours.

If you are logged in within your operating hours

  1. Please proceed to the following troubleshooting steps:

For Android Users: Press the small square button at the bottom of the screen. This will show all open apps, swipe left to force close each app. Once all apps have been closed, hold down the small external button on the side of the device. Once the button has been held down, a screen will pop up prompting you to select either “POWER OFF” or “REBOOT.” Select “POWER OFF” to shutdown the device. Wait ~1 minute, and then hold down the button again to restart the device. Once you reboot the tablet, make sure you are connected to the wifi and log back into the Uber Eats app with your username and password.

For iPad Users: Reset the iPad by holding down the circular home button and the side power button at the same time for five seconds. Once you reboot the iPad, make sure you are connected to the wifi and log back into the Uber Eats app with your username and password.

If it’s still not working:

  1. Please verify that it’s not due to the fact that your tablet is on ‘pause’

The Uber Eats Orders may also automatically pause incoming orders. This can happen for two reasons: - Multiple orders in a row that go unaccepted - If the device is offline for more than 1 hour. - Your acceptance time is longer than usual, resulting in customers canceling orders For more on this, or to check if your currently paused, see the article below:

Please note that the Uber Eats Orders app must be in the tablet foreground (i.e. visible on the screen) in order to function properly.

WHY DO ORDERS PAUSE AUTOMATICALLY?

  1. Still not working ? If you are still having issues with your tablet please send an email to organize a replacement tablet. (Please note that there may be a charge for this. You will receive a follow up email with details on delivery and collection if applicable)
