DRIVER'S INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
You need to maintain automobile liability insurance on all vehicles you operate while driving for Uber with insurance limits equal to or greater than the minimum requirements for the state where you drive.
UBER'S INSURANCE PROGRAM
From the time you log in to the Uber driver App until you accept a trip, Uber maintains automobile liability coverage in amounts of at least $50,000 for the driver's liability for bodily injury to one person, $100,000 per each accident, and $25,000 for property damage caused to others.
This policy provide coverage if your personal auto policy does not provide coverage or if your policy's limits are less than these amounts. This policy may also include personal injury protection and/or uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage if it is required by law in the state in which you drive.
From the time you accept a trip, until the trip's conclusion, Uber provides primary automobile liability coverage in an amount of at least $1,000,000 per accident and at least $1,000,000 of uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. This policy may also include personal injury protection if it is required by law in the state in which you drive. Additionally, this policy provides contingent comprehensive and collision coverage. If you maintain comprehensive and/or collision coverage on your own personal auto policy, Uber's policy will provide physical damage coverage to your vehicle up to the actual cash value of the vehicle, subject to a $1,000 deductible.
