WHAT IS AREA PREFERENCES FEATURE AND HOW IT WORKS?
AREA PREFERENCES is a new feature designed for UberX Saver trips that will allow you to receive trips that start and end within your preferred area.
You can access the AREA PREFERENCES feature in the TRIP PLANNER section of your app.
Please be advised that to opt in to Area Preferences, you will need to be physically located in the area you want to drive in. Once you are in the area, you will be able to select the one you desire.
Please remember to always click on the SAVE button when making any changes to ensure that they will apply.
HOW TO TURN IT OFF?
If you would like to continue receiving requests from outside the preferred area, you can turn off Area Preferences. You can always disable this feature in the TRIP PLANNER section of the app.
WHY A CERTAIN AREA CANNOT BE CHOSEN?
Please be advised that the area you see in the app is predefined and we cannot make adjustments to it. In case the specialised team will change the predefined area in the future based on the feedback received you'll see it in the app.
WHY THE PREFERENCES SET ARE NO LONGER IN THE APP
If you choose a preferred area, the app will retain this until you go offline. After going offline, the system will automatically reset the area preference selections.
WHY THE FEATURE IS NOT AVAILABLE
If you do not see the Area Preferences feature, please be sure you have the most up to date version of the Driver app in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
