Learn how to correctly report your cash payment issues

Having cash trip issues? Find helpful answers in the following information.

Notice that when you make a cash trip and:

  1. You didn’t pay the total amount, the difference is reflected as a pending amount in your account, which will be charged on your next trip.

  2. You paid more than total amount, you should receive the change as Uber credits.

  3. If you select by mistake cash as payment method or digital payment method, you are able to change during the trip or just before the trip is closed in “trip details”.

Don’t forget to always review at the end of a cash trip for the driver to capture the correct amount you paid.

Most common issues for trips paid in Cash:

If you paid your the total amount your cash trip but the app show you in arrears.

If you paid more in a Cash trip, there are 3 common issues:

If you were not able to pay the total amount because your trip fare change please follow click here: The amount charged in cash was higher than expected

  • If you paid in cash for a trip already paid with a digital payment method

  • If you paid a Cash trip with PIX outside the Uber app, please follow the next recommendations.

We strongly recommend to use PIX QR in the Uber App. You can ask your Driver to show the PIX QR at the end of the trip inside the Uber App to protect your payment.

Make sure you attach the PIX receipt and all the next information is visible:

  • Receptor name
  • Sender name
  • Transaction hour
  • Transaction amount
