How do customer delivery fees work?

When a customer places a delivery order with Uber Eats, we apply the following fee structure.

-Delivery fee: The delivery fee that a customer pays will vary for each restaurant based on things like the customer's location and availability of nearby couriers. Customers will always know how much the delivery fee is before selecting a restaurant.

-Service fee: The service fee will equal 15% of an order's subtotal. This fee will be shown at checkout and will not apply to orders with restaurants that use their own couriers to deliver orders.

-Small order fee: A small order fee of $2 will apply to orders with subtotals under $10. This fee will be shown to the customer at checkout and customers can always add more items to remove this fee.

These fees are designed to help cover delivery costs and keep couriers on the road so that all orders can arrive as quickly and reliably as possible.
