Earning Asia Miles by taking Uber rides

Link your Uber account to your Cathay membership account allows you to earn on Uber Taxi rides.

• Earn 40 Asia miles on qualifying Uber Taxi rides to and from Hong Kong International Airport,
• Earn 20 Asia miles on any qualifying Uber Taxi rides (exclude trips to and from Hong Kong International Airport)
• Earn 500 Bonus Asia Miles by taking the first-ever Uber trip with Uber Taxi. (*Offer is only for new Uber app users)

Eligible Uber rides

Not all rides are eligible to earn Asia Miles. You can earn Asia Miles only on eligible Uber Taxi trips.

Linking Uber account to Cathay membership account

You must have a Cathay membership account. If you’re not a Cathay member, you can sign up for free here. You can link your accounts in the Uber app when you’re ready to start earning Asia Miles on Uber Taxi rides. To do this:

1. Tap Account in the bottom right corner of the Uber app
2. Tap Settings
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page to Rewards
4. Tap Cathay
5. Tap Link Account on the next screen and login to your Cathay membership account to complete linking your accounts

You’ll receive a success message in the Uber app after the accounts have been linked.

*Please note only one Uber account can be linked to one Cathay membership account, and the accounts must belong to the same person.

Earn with any spending amount

You can earn Asia Miles on any qualifying Uber Taxi trips taken within Hong Kong, regardless of the amount you spend.

View your Asia Miles earned

Log in to your Cathay membership account to check your Asia Miles balance. Asia Miles will be rewarded to your account within 24 hours after completing an eligible trip. You must have linked your Uber account to your Cathay membership account before taking the ride to earn, retrospective claims are not permitted.
