Cash trips must be paid directly to the partner when you arrive at your destination, in the amount shown in the partner app, which will already include possible additional time and distance fees, waiting time or outstanding amounts from previous trips (if you have used this option earlier).
We recommend that you always check the estimated value of the trip before requesting it, and if you don’t have the amount, change the payment method in the app, as it is not possible to change it during or after the trip.
You can change the payment method in the app after selecting the pick-up and drop-off locations for your trip, in the profile bar just above the REQUEST UBERX option.
If you have selected a cash-paid trip by mistake and are unable to pay the partner at the end of the trip, they will be able to let us know through their app. If this happens, a debit will be generated in your account.
The same will happen if you cancel a trip and are charged a cancellation fee. The amount of this fee will be added to the amount of your next trip or you can pay it directly in your app using another payment method. To pay a pending amount, go to the page:
For cash trips, we recommend that you have the exchanged amount on hand, but if this is not possible, ask the partner to return your change in Uber Cash through the app, but remember that very high amounts will not be accepted on the app.
