My account has an unrecognized charge

If you see an unfamiliar charge from Uber in your credit card or your bank account, please review this information.

IS IT A PENDING CHARGE?

When you set a ride, or other service through Uber, a temporary charge may be authorized to your payment method. This hold helps as a way to confirm that your payment method is valid, and it will be automatically canceled once the charge is fully covered.

You may see an authorization hold if you recently added a new payment method, or if you haven’t used Uber in a while.

If you believe this is another type of charge, get more information following the next link.

IS A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER USING YOUR ACCOUNT?

Check with them if you can. They may recognize the charge you’re seeing.

HAVE YOU ORDER ON UBER EATS OR REQUESTED AN UBER FLASH DELIVERY?

To check your payment history on Uber Eats, open the app and click on “Orders”.

If you want to check your shipping history with Uber Flash, open the Uber app, click on the menu and select “Your trips”.

IS THERE A CANCELLATION FEE?

If you believe you were charged a cancellation fee by mistake, go to your travel history and select the one in question. Once selected, choose “Review my cancellation fee” for us to help you.
